Drury fans are treated to their second novel of 2013! Writing about what he knows best, Drury’s fourth book brings together corrupt City practices, sex and romance…

Jessica agrees with her mother; it’s time she had a baby. She’s given up looking for the right father.  City financier, Matthew, has raised £6 million to make a film. Now it’s gone missing and his neck is on the line.

Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Rudd has learned that there are terrorists planning to murder 400 people. She doesn’t know where or how and now her brilliant career is threatened.

Will DCI Rudd uncover the terrorist plot in time to save the nation? Who has taken the film money? Will Matthew find the love of his life and a new mother for his daughter? And why is The Great Train Robbery on everybody’s mind?

In 2006 City corporate financier Tony Drury sold his business with the dream of becoming a published novelist, but during the recession the company who had promised to turn his dream into a reality went into liquidation. Nonetheless he returned to the City and became chairman of a corporate finance house, and a year later, he formed his own publishing company City Fiction.

His first novel ‘Megan’s Game’, inspired by his experiences in the City and the people he met during his long corporate finance career, received stellar reviews from critics and readers around the country;

“Drury’s first outing displays the confidence of a seasoned pro…A page-turner from the outset…This is a must read” MoneyMaker Magazine

‘Megan’s Game’ is now being transformed to the big screen and is due for international release in 2014. ‘The Deal’ was met with similar praise and has been described as ‘a page-turner’. In the summer of 2013 ‘Cholesterol’ was published;

“City literary types in search of the next Hilary Mantel, look no further.” Daily Telegraph

A City breakfast for invited guests on Thursday 21 November will launch ‘A Flash of Lightning’.
